I’m noticing a slow down in the use of Twitter, Instagram & teens. So, where are they? It’s all about Snapchat right now! Get to know it. It can be used to share pics, videos, captions, & “Snapchat stories” (a series of pictures linked together), but it does disappear after 20 seconds (*unless a screenshot is taken or an app like “Snap Hack” is used*) making it hard to parent. If your teen has a Snapchat account, make sure you’ve had a conversation about expectations for Snapchat behaviors. What’s ok & what isn’t? Be clear. Ask to see them to show you their account or even teach you how to make an account of your own. But, make sure your child can handle the responsibility of this social network without your constant monitoring because that is the great Snapchat challenge!
